Lauren, a true Michigan native has immersed herself in the event industry since her teenage years. With a natural inclination for organization and detail, she's always been a planner at heart. After earning her degree in psychology, Lauren pursued her passion further by taking classes at the New York Institute of Art and Design for event and wedding planning. This paved the way for her dream journey of founding Detroit Social Co. Over the span of 16 years, Lauren has honed her expertise, mastering the intricacies of event planning. Her creative mind is ever-active, always contemplating how to transform a space. With genuine love for the industry, Lauren pours her heart into everything she does.  When not immersed in planning, you'll find her enjoying reading, traveling, or savoring a charcuterie board with a mojito mocktail!

Since a young girl, Abby has always had passion to bring people together. She is kind, outgoing and seeks to be present with the people she’s interacting with. She graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management with an emphasis in Meeting and Event Management. After dipping her toes in the worlds of corporate, non-profit and live music, she found her new passion of wedding management after planning her own wedding in 2021. Abby is dedicated to creating memorable experiences for her clients and bringing joy to every event. She thrives under pressure and is keenly aware of needs before they arise. When not executing a wedding timeline, she spends time on walks with her husband and three kids, eating copious amounts of ice cream, and dominating family game nights.
